FIRST IN-HOUSE TOURBILLON
A bold expression of contemporary Swiss watchmaking, this 43 mm skeleton tourbillon marks a major milestone for BA111OD with the integration of its first in-house tourbillon calibre.
Conceived for collectors who seek character as much as performance, this 43 mm skeleton tourbillon brings together precision, depth, and emotion in a design defined by daring and substance. Crafted in 904L stainless steel with a gunmetal anthracite DLC treatment, it reveals a sharper, more architectural interpretation of BA111OD’s signature Chapter 4 language.
Its openworked construction draws the eye to the tourbillon at 7 o’clock while opening a clearer view onto the barrel, the source of its remarkable 120-hour power reserve. Anthracite hands with Super-LumiNova® ensure legibility, while the blue screw serving as the running seconds adds a distinctive and unconventional touch.
Created within BA111OD’s integrated movement development workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds under the direction of Olivier Mory, this hand-wound mechanical movement beats at 3 Hz and is chronometer-certified by Timelab, the Geneva Observatory of Chronometry.
Developed exclusively with local co-contractors from the Neuchâtel region, this Chapter 4 Skeleton Tourbillon embodies BA111OD’s vision of contemporary Swiss watchmaking: technical substance, emotional resonance, and daring design.

IN-HOUSE CALIBRE
LABORATORY OF IDEAS
With the integration of BCP Tourbillons, BA111OD takes a new step in strengthening its technical ecosystem. A recognised specialist in the development of watch movements and complications, BCP Tourbillons brings deep expertise in the art of the tourbillon while continuing to operate under the direction of Olivier Mory. This integration reinforces BA111OD’s capacity to develop exceptional calibres with greater consistency, legitimacy and technical autonomy, while remaining true to its vision of contemporary Swiss watchmaking rooted in substance, precision and character.

REFINED DEPTH
“The intention was to refine the watch and strengthen its visual language without losing its technical intensity. Through the dial and rehaut, I worked with bevels, shifting levels and a nuanced interplay of finishes to create a stronger sense of depth and relief. By lightening the centre of the composition, we were able to give more presence to the engraved barrel cover and the ‘Veblen Dilemma’ inscription, while preserving the hypnotic quality that defines the piece.”

Why “The Veblen Dilemma”?
According to economist Thorstein Veblen, luxury tends to become more desirable the more expensive it is. Which leaves a watch like this in an awkwardly interesting position: a Swiss Made tourbillon with real mechanical substance, distinctive design, and a price that challenges convention. Too serious to be overlooked, too accessible to behave like traditional luxury. That is the Veblen Dilemma.
