From Pocket Watch to Wristwatch
Starting from a late 19th-century pocket watch signed Charles Baillod, Locle, our in-house Senior Designer Liliane Murenzi reinterpreted its defining codes through a contemporary lens. She translated the original structure, proportions and crown profile into a modern wristwatch architecture, preserving its visual essence while expressing it with clarity and restraint. The result is a deliberate reinterpretation that connects a singular Baillod timepiece to BA111OD’s present-day design language.
Soprod C110
Swiss Automatic Movement
Produced in the Jura region of Switzerland since 1966, Soprod is known for crafting reliable, high-performance movements. The C110 is an automatic calibre featuring small seconds indication, a 42-hour power reserve, and a smooth 28,800 vph beat. Trusted by Swiss watchmakers, it combines precision and reliability in a compact architecture, visible through the transparent caseback. The caseback is adorned with a special engraving inspired by the historic Charles Baillod pocket watch, creating a direct visual link between past and present and reinforcing the mechanical heart of the Chapter 8 Baillod Family Legacy Special Edition.
